Stories from Cuba

We have continued to receive great photos of SWH meals being distributed in Cuba!

This photo (or a drawing from a student at Union Academy in Monroe, NC) is from the town that was in the news recently where there were protests and they lit the communist office building on fire. The translation from our WhatsApp thread is: When we opened one of the boxes of fortified rice we found this beautiful message; Smile! We testify that in recent times this project has brought smiles to thousands of Cuban homes. Many thanks to all the “servants with one heart.” God bless you.

This photo is during the nationwide blackout, showing our meals moving on! The man in the center is Pastor Osmani Sosa, who spearheads our distribution in Cuba through Atulado Ministries.

From our partners at Atulado Ministries, regarding our latest shipment: The last shipment we had in motion was delivered. It was tricky with fuel issues [diesel is very costly, if it can be acquired at all], but God provided—again! Even with the situation in Cuba and the fuel delays, it took 44 days from when we left our warehouse [in Waxhaw NC] until we arrived at the church [in Cuba]. Incredible! God is so good! With this delivery, we’re now at 1,965,168 meals. That’s 9098 boxes or 327,528 bags of fortified rice.
