Life-changing
Today’s post is from our partners in Nicaragua, Samaritans International
For a number of years we have been helping families with special needs children and adults, and food from servants with a heart is life-changing for many of them. This group had about 120 people, and due to months without food and the changes in the world, 21 of these people have passed away in recent months.
We praise the Lord the remaining people now have food again.
One man was confined to his bed, just waiting to die, when his family received SWH meals and he was able to eat this nourishing food. Amazingly, he began to get stronger and healthier. Within a number of months he not only was able to get out of bed, but he healed so much from the food that he was able to drive again! Every time you help pack food you are saving lives.
Norlan, the 4-year old boy in the photos below, is from the community of Las Flores, on road to Managua. He has Infantile Cerebral Palsy and is treated at the physiotherapy clinic, where he is part of their feeding program. He has gained weight and is no longer in danger of passing away due to malnutrition!
The photos show his healthy weight gain; he likes the fortified rice from SWH very much, and it is one of his favorite foods.
